It's interesting how the fireplace is green like the one in the Rankin House was.
Love those old homes.
Yes, a lot of historical homes we visited had green fireplaces (see Johnston Parlor too). I think they may have had extra green paint in the restorations and used it on all the houses!
Doesn't look anything like presidential homes today probably do.
Very stately and simple looking.
