Nice photo. What's the blue fluff on Acorn's head?
Are they only three weeks old? They grew fast.
Yes, they seem to grow fastest in the first three weeks. I call this the turkey-stage, since the fluff hanging onto the growing feathers gives them that appearance. They don't really look like chicks or chickens. The neck feathers are the last to grow out, that's why Acorn still has down on its neck feathers.
